Jumped up and over that teetering (digital) stack of TBR to read immediately, as befits a Tansy Rayner Roberts story. I love the casual worldbuilding, patented Tansy-snark and adore these characters. Loads of fun with a tonne of heart.

-stares pointedly at the calendar- hurry it up 2018, third book of this series is supposed to be coming out may and i'm not about this MALINGERING in february

anyways this book is just as lit as the first one and it does twelve dancing princesses which i've always liked better than cinderella

i'm also very fond of the princes now because tansy rayner roberts has never written a pov that didn't immediately make you care for the character

More quirky, fairy tale trope enhanced romps. I found this one slightly less satisfying than the first one -- I felt the internal logic was just a bit too thin, with some of the farce elements overwhelming the plotting and world-building. Plus the motivation of the villain of the piece never did make sense.

A worthy successor to [book:Glass Slipper Scandal|29876148]. The fairytale setting with modern sensibilities ought to be jarring, but it still works, and it's as fun as ever.

Loved listening to Tansy Rayner Roberts' podcast Sheep Might Fly where you too can listen to lots of her short stories!

I freaking loved it. The story is just as funny and snarky and thinky as the first one. Please go listen to it if you have not already. Now it is all out and ready for your enjoyment!

Listened to via the Sheep Might Fly podcast. Sheer fun. I adore the various relationships between the characters.
