Ordering the Alice book was actually more of an experiment. I wasn't entirely sure if I would like it and how it would be. But, after the Alice book I really needed to have the Oz and the Neverland one too. I've never liked those kinda competitive games you play with friends, but I do enjoy these adventures combined with some tactics, some choices and some luck.

I've played through this book four times now. Once as Dorothy, once as the Lion, once as the Scarecrow and once as the Tin Man. The storylines of Dorothy and the Scarecrow follow mostly the same path, so the difference between them depends on whether or not you make different choices. With Dorothy I made the capital mistake of not wanting to split up (I mean, isn't that how you USUALLY die in horror movies? Because someone yells "lets split up!" and everyone thinks that's a good idea?), the scarecrow seemed too weak to survive all the battles I had to fight.

I had more luck with the Lion and the Tin Man. The lion has his own mini adventure in his den, that was quite entertaining. But it was mostly the story and the course of the Tin Man that I really loved. The way his character is used and written in this new world is just downright amazing. His own story and the way he eventually finds his friend totally surprised and amazed me.

The overall plot of this game was also really amazing. I loved how Green used all the elements of the original Oz tale and gave us the chance to explore every part of the realm (although not within the same game) we knew so well, but managed to give it a really interesting and most of all logical spin. I don't know if anyone else ever came up with this scenario, but I loved it and found it very original.

I've seen on the website there's also a way to play as the wizard and as the wicked witch of the west. I will totally check those paths out in the future, but for now I will move on to Neverland. Let's see how things are there. I've heard something about Dino's, so I'm really excited and curious!
