I love this series! This story I found to be a little bit more impactful because of the secrets that are kept by Briar which is noticed by others but he also brings happiness to Casey, and there is always Marty to brighten literally any moment.
Casey is pledge master and takes the role pretty seriously but is now faced with a slight conundrum because he's seriously attracted to new pledge, Briar, who is pretty withdrawn and snarky to start with, not trusting the frat house after a BD experience with his previous college.
I like that we stick with just Casey's POV in the book as it helps to build the story and tension. Casey is totally adorable in how quickly and much he comes to like Briar, so much that he's happy taking that step being open about being bisexual with everyone at the house. It's grown to be a hugely supportive frat and that's shown to a huge extent in this book, not just with Casey and Briar but others as well. It's also great having so much interaction with the guys we've already met in this series, especially Marty and Scout. Two men who are polar opposites have just as big an impact on the house but in different ways.
It did take me a while to warm up to Briar, who seems a bit flighty/hit or miss with his responses to everyone, but when things are explained, it makes me hurt for him and so happy that Casey steps up for what he wants.
Another highly recommended romance set in this college series. A good mix of comedy, heartwarming and hot!
I received an ARC and am happily giving a review.
