The author’s note said that this book has just enough plot to get into the spicy scenes. I’m so glad she provided that warning. It helped me to temper my expectations. There was a cute premise. I didn’t love the execution at times. I’m not a fan of fake romance tropes, but the friends to lovers sports romance was right up my alley. The couple’s long lasting bond was sweet. I also enjoyed how everyone around them was so supportive of their union. There was enough of a plot for me. It definitely got spicy too. This was a quick, easy read.

While I'm patiently (not really) still waiting on Life After Death book 2 to drop I thought I'd check out something else of hers. And this was so good! My biggest issue... Why is it soooo short😭 I would have loved a full-length novel of this. I can understand it being a novella because since it's bffs to lovers I mean we already know as a reader what to expect. I have a feeling had it have been longer it would have been a 5 star for me. Because it was so short, everything was rushed but I would 100% recommend this book!

A new favourite, I’m not the biggest fan of novella’s but this books was amazing. There was depth to the characters, emotions, vulnerability and the pacing was so well for a novella. I loved the chemistry and interactions between the main characters it was so good. I’m excited to see what’s in store for the second book, I have some theories🫶🏾

I loved this read. It didn't drag on and was the perfect thing to get me out of a book slump. Best friends turned lovers who everyone rooted for in the beginning except for jealous women, obviously. Successful football player and writer have an agreement that could change her whole career and their relationship.

this was the perfect ratio of plot to romance to spice. let me be clear, this isn't something you read for the plot but things felt well developed enough that nothing was out of place, rushed, or awkward. the MCs are a lot of fun, and their banter and relationship just makes you smile (among other things 😂🤪)
I enjoyed this book, I had this book on my tbr for months then finally decided to read it & im so glad I did I can picture this being a real life senario.
