Khai has no ability to love or grieve. His mom, taking matters into her own hands, hired a mail-to-order bride fresh from Vietnam to be his wife.

Sounds bad, I know, but it was told in a way that makes us empathize with the characters and their decisions.

As much as I loved The Kiss Quotient, this does nothing to me. The 2 main characters don't fit. I don't see their compatibility at all. Their attraction is mostly physical. They barely communicate. How could they truly click or connect with each other when they don't communicate how they feel.

Also, there is something manipulative about everyone in this story. Esms manipulates Khai by seducing him with her body. Khai tries to disrracts  Esme with sex in order for her to accept his proposal. Thankfully, this doesn't work. Everyone else has two manipulate them to be together. Honestly, it's kinda weird.

I was tempted to DNF the book but I still struggled through since I wanted to read The HeartPrinciple which has Quan as the main character. There are a few cute scenes here and there but Quan is mainly the only saving grace of this book.

it’s not often i find myself reading romance, so you know when i make it all the way through, it’s gotta be good. this story was entertaining as hell, and surprisingly heartfelt. the neurodivergence and autism representation, especially in the asian communities, is something that isn’t talked about enough.

Overall, all the plot points were answered by the end. It was slow paced and dragged out at times and I wish two of the main plot points were resolved a bit earlier rather than it being resolved in the last chapter.

I also wish they did more activities ie. go on dates and do other stuff rather than just going to weddings and having sex.

Also, everything was resolved too quickly and it was unrealistic how everyone was accepting of the MFC biggest issues and secrets as soon as they found out about it.

The MMC barely had any character development except when it’s necessary to the plot.
