Great writing, pieces of history, and informative story about a Canadian icon! Enjoyable and a pleasure.

This is an interesting look at old growth forests, particularly the logging of them, on Vancouver Island. While it is clear that the author falls on the side of the activists looking to stop old growth logging, the loggers are never villianized. We get to see their side of the situation and empathize with them.
