Mother Pucker is a delightful romcom that kept me hooked from start to finish. Swati M.H. delivers a heartwarming story, blending humor, romance, and heartfelt moments. I would recommend reading the first two books in the series before diving into this one to fully appreciate the family dynamics and backstory.

The chemistry between Shayla and Rowan is electric! Rowan, an ice hockey player and eight years Shayla’s junior, is the perfect blend of patience and passion. He helps Shayla confront her fears of needing to control every aspect of her life, guiding her toward a place of trust and vulnerability. Not just in her daily life but in the bedroom too. Shayla’s journey to accepting love, after the loss of her husband to cancer, is both touching and empowering. Her emotional growth with Rowan by her side is a highlight of the book.

However, what held this book back from being a 5-star read for me was Beckett. Just like in the second book, his meddling in the girls’ personal lives rubbed me the wrong way. While his intentions may be good, his manipulative tendencies, especially toward Shayla, felt unnecessary and detracted from the overall charm of the story. It’s a shame, considering I really liked his character in his own book.

Overall, Mother Pucker is a fun, steamy, and heartfelt read. Despite my issue with Beckett’s involvement, I truly enjoyed Shayla and Rowan’s story and can’t wait to read the final book about Delia.

Shayla and Rowan

Ok lads this series has a good one!

Shayla is such an interesting and flawed character- anxious and processing her grief. Rowan is like an insta love puppy dog but also works hard to fit himself into Shay's life. He's clearly younger than her and likes being a dude in his late 20s (fancy penthouse, fast cars, Instagram selfies etc.) which I actually loved because seeing him mature FOR SHAY was hot as fuck.

The spice is ACTUALLY SPICY. Orgasm denial is v hot here. Enthusiastic consent abounds!

I wish we had more follow up re his father but also I know it doesn't work like that in the real world.
