I am so obsessed with this series! I absolutely LOVE the plot of these books. I love the found family aspect of all of these books. In book 1 we learn how 7 kids and 4 adults end up living together in one house. Becket gets added to the bunch for a total of 7 kids and 5 adults. Then in book 2 Dylan falls in love with Cortney and he gets added to the family for a total of 6 adults and 7 kids with one more kid on the way. In book 3 Shay falls for hockey star Rowan and he gets added to the family for 7 adults and 7 kids and one on the way. The banter between the adults is so funny. You can’t help but laugh, smile, and swoon!
I loved Shay and Rowan. Rowan is so swoon worthy! Shay isn’t looking for love after her husband passes away a few years ago from cancer. Rowan who is 8 years younger than her falls first and he falls hard. The way he treats Shay and her son Kai is so sweet. He listens to the things that are important to Dylan and with his actions shows her how much he cares about her. Ladies, he even reads her smutty books!
Teddy Hamilton and Samantha Brentmoor narrate this book in duet narration. Narration is 5/5 and highly recommended. I am so excited for Delia’s story next.

I really like this book and I enjoyed it more than I expected to. Shayla‘s character seemed frigid to me throughout the rest of the series, and I really hoped that her story would open up her character line more and show us who she truly was, and the author definitely succeeded. I loved how Rowan was able to bring out the playful side of Shayla and they were able to grow together and Shayla was able to get out of her comfort zone and allow her son to explore and experience the world as a child should. I also didn’t focus a lot on the reverse age gap with Rowan being 27 years old and Shayla being 35. I really liked how he proposed in the end. It was adorable and perfect and I hope they go onto to have a few babies of their own so that Kai can be the most gentle and adorable big brother.
This series!! Every time I think the next book won’t top the others, I’m proven wrong!! The hockey aspect of this age gap romance was chefs kiss! Kai is perfect, Shay is finding herself, and Rowan is confident and in love!!

Estou amando essa família tão especial e divertida!
A amizade das mães continua especial e engraçada.
A Shayla é uma personagem marcante! Acompanhar o crescimento dela, o redescobrimento de quem ela é e quer ser foi emocionante!
E o Rowan é perfeito pra ela.

I’m basically out of describing words for this series because every book is structured the same way and has the exact same tone. With that being said I did enjoy this one but it’s also my least favorite of the series. I liked Rowan and seeing his character growth and how much he loved Shayla. However I did not really like Shayla. I thought she had so much stuff she needed to work through before she got in a relationship and she just didn’t. I found her slightly annoying at times and found her over-protectiveness annoying as well. If she would’ve gone to therapy or tried to work through her past and her trauma I think I would’ve really liked her but it was clear she has trauma and just did nothing about it. But overall I enjoyed the sports element and the physical therapist element and it was a cute fun book.
