It was good. Something seemed off with the writing. I listened to this through Everand and had to go back to re-listen several times to certain passages to make sense of what happened. Overall, it was a good follow-up to the first book, but it was predictable, and I wasn't surprised at the "situation" at the end.

I look forward to the next book and hope it focuses a little more on the writing being less scattered.

I kept having to remind myself that Violet is only 21 and I too felt and acted on unwarranted jealousy at that age…. otherwise, I loved this. Maybe not as good as the first one? But, still fantastic. I loved the added importance on Violet’s friends and how she needs them just as much as she does her siblings and Xaden. Will be impatiently waiting until January for Onyx Storm.

Takes a while to get in to. Part 2 is great tho. Literally could not put it down once it started getting genuinely good.

Not sure about the ending. I will have to let it marinate in my brain a little before deciding whether i was a fan or not.

Will just have to wait until book 3 to see how it plays out.
