If all you've ever wanted was Garth Marenghi getting ritualistically fucked by an abusive hell-typewrter then this is for you. And god help you.

It's funny, but not as funny as the TV show, ("Garth Marenghi's Darkplace"). The main reason I had to stop reading it was because I'm reading a lot of thriller/horror novels for work, (not tracked on Storygraph!), and the bad ones definitely sound too much like "TerrorTome"!

Funny, but overstays its welcome.

Audiobook is fun but some of the gags get a bit old here and there.

Predictably overstays its welcome in long form prose rather than the tighter episodic TV show but still good and very funny in places, being actually very well-written with deliberate undermining of that due to the character of Marenghi being the "author". Not in a hurry to read the next although also not a regular horror reader myself so I might not entirely be the target audience.
