Gallant is a very interesting, very entertaining book. It features a non verbal main character, which adds layers to the story that I really liked a lot. This is a supernatural horror book, but it is a very mild, soft horror. It leans more on the psychological aspect.

Despite being a very short and precise book, I liked the plot, the characters and atmosphere. At first it might feel slow paced, but it didn’t bore me and it eventually picks up until we get to an action packed, very intense third act. This is my second book of V.E. Schwab, which I think is a fantastic author!
