In the acknowledgements she says that this book took a long time to write and she didn’t know what would be behind the wall. You can kind of feel that with the ending, every page of the book is so interesting and VES is always amazing at painting worlds, but the ending just felt meh. Death as a character was as spooky and haunting as it should be and the ghouls are so cool instead of just full ghosts, but the ending didn’t do the rest of the great book justice.

Gallant es de esos libros que terminas y no sabes ni como sentirte. Fue una experiencia rara pero agradable, aunque si hubiera tenido un inicio menos tedioso no me quejo.
