This is only worth reading if a) you've read all the Outlander books, and b) you're a big Roger fan. It's a very cool story, but only for dedicated fans of the books. I loved the details about Roger's parents. Don't read this one as a pick-me-up, though... it's not exactly a happy story! I'm glad I picked this one up, because it informs and expands upon a small section present in one of the larger novels, which I think is quite fun.

This was the best series of books I have read. I watched the first part of the series as well and was really surprised and happy to see that it follows the books. I am not one who likes fantasy books however this series hooked me right from the beginning because it is really not far fetched. There is lots of stuff on places like Craig na dun. I would recommend the Outlander series to anyone. They are great books
