Bittersweet story. Exactly what you'd expect from the blurb really. Dual timeline but easy to follow.
Has some thoughtful quotes scattered through, which was great. However the characters felt a bit cliché and underdeveloped and the writing was a bit too simple. Glad it was a short read.
Perhaps young teens would enjoy this book though.

Possibly the worst book I have ever read. Though I suppose I’m not the target audience since I’m not a pick me who wants some creepy old fashioned boyfriend

An emotional read. It was both heart-warming and gut-wrenching but such a great story. I haven't watched the film but definitely intend to now. Loved the characters.
