I wasn't really sure what to expect from this one!!

Sage and Beau have this instant love hate connection. I love their banter!

It was only meant to be one night, but these two just had too much chemistry!!!

The time jumps 😭 thank god everything worked out ❤️

These books have got something in them... I can't stop devouring them. I will be looking into more books written by Elliot Rose and I just love their writing style so much and the novel is so well written. I fall in love with every character and I feel their pain while reading. Not much gets me in the feels very often but these books do.

I am so excited to read Katie's story next. Thanks goodness I don't have very long to wait now.

Sage wasn’t my favourite. I feel like her stubborn sassiness just wasn’t for me and annoyed me at times. If you love a fierce vocally outspoken FMC, you’ll love her though!

I was *dreading* starting this one for two simple reasons: I don't want to wait until next month to continye living in lovely Crimson Ridge and.... I was worried about the sorta cheating aspect of the plot

BUT I should have known better and trust Elliott cause this was handled perfectly (& the "wife" is a major manipulator and deserves nothing more than what she ended up getting!)

What to expect:
🤠 taboo romance
🤠 age gap
🤠 workplace romance
🤠 forced proximity
🤠 banter for days
🤠 exhibiosionist

First and most importantly we have to acknowldge the icon that Sage is cause this woman took the spotlight EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. She is hilarious. She is unapologetic. She is just everything. I loved seeing this bi queen live her best life and enjoy her monster smut and special toys.

And can we please talk about Beau? That man is a walking contradiction — all gruff silence and quiet longing, then suddenly saying the filthiest things you've ever read with a pierced grin on his face (& a pierced something else if you catch my drift). He’s so soft for her while also being so damn possessive?? like sign me the heck up pls and ty

That moment when Beau lets go of the shame he’s been carrying around and lets himself want something just for him? That hit deep. He’s not just the cowboy with the dirty mouth (though yes, more of that please), he’s a man learning how to hope again and slowly letting Sage in was beautiful

Also, the banter??? Top-tier. Witty, snappy, and always laced with tension. There were moments I was cackling and then flipping the page and immediately clutching my chest because DAAAAAMN they got vulnerable real fast

And while the heat was off the charts (no one is doing it like Elliott in the exhibitonism + possessiveness + praise kink category), what made this book so satisfying is the emotional payoff. The found family vibes are alive and well in Crimson Ridge, and watching this big, messy group of friends show up for each other every time?? THIS IS WHAT WE NEED!!!

If you're unsure because of the marriage plot, let me just say: it’s handled perfectly. No betrayal, no ick. Just a manipulative ex getting exactly what she deserves, and a man finally freeing himself to love.

Final thoughts? I need the next book. Like NOOOOOOOOW. Elliott, I am begging. Please. Pretty pleaseeee

ALSO! I have to say that Sage reminded me a lot to Willa (Chestnust Spring series by Elsie Silver) and even both meet cutes were iconic and so so so perfect for the FMCs

So I really love Sage out of all the series. Sage, honestly I love her sassiness!! Like compared to all the other characters are read they were great but Sage I don't know why I guess I just related to her so much. Plus all the comments she made throughout the book just made me bust out laughing. I did like this one a lot It's just as good as the other ones. But to read Beau and Sage backstories almost being the same but different was sad but sweet. Because it kind of brought them together in a different way. Beau I feel bad for it because of the way he got tricked into his marriage. You do read a little bit about it in braving the storm. But you go more in depth to it in this book and it's kind of evil. But you know what things have a way of working out. If you loved crimson peak and cannot wait to get more into the series read this book! I cannot wait for the last book!!!
