4.25 stars. I really enjoyed this little book, notwithstanding the fairy tale ending. Written in the "business fable" style of master wordsmith Patrick Lencioni, this book holds your interest and is a very quick read. Some very sound principles that warrant further study - I plan to look at the resources the author has online and potentially incorporate some of these ideas into my consulting engagements.

A quick, easy read jam-packed with a gold mine of wisdom!
I am definitely buying this book. I plan to read it again and again (while taking notes, this time). I also want to share this with every person I know.

Really nice sentiment, definitely true in parts. The notion that 'poor people choose to be poor' however is deeply flawed and in general this reads a bit too idealistic. Of course it's proving a principle, so I guess it is to be expected. Would still be nice if they didn't blame some people for a situation they don't have control over and probably never will. I did like it though.

A simple and easy read with characters and themes that are all very relatable.
Written as a fable, it does makes you think of this almost utopian way of doing business can actually work out.
It also gives you thoughts of how is it different to volunteerism when you believe Karma will come back to you after you time spent giving.
Either way, it is still a nicer way to spend your life and spread kindness to others. The world needs more of this anyway, so it's worth trying.
