A beautiful and heartbreaking story. Every page was full of so much emotion and passion. Reminiscent of “The Nightingale” through themes of tragedy and the persistence of love through time and distance. An amazingly written and unforgettable historical piece.

I listened to this on audio and couldn't stop sobbing while cleaning my apartment for the last two hours. Having just finished it, I don't have coherent thoughts, I just have emotions.

This book is truly so beautiful - about the unexpected paths lives take us on, about heartbreak, about love that lasts and shapes who you are, about consequences, and so much more - and I would recommend it to anybody.
