Really enjoyed this short story, it is an amazing look at mythos through the lens of reality and modernism. It gives a voice to the woman of myth that previously was only an icon for beauty and compliance.

For such a short story, Galatea is impactful and a beautiful take on the old myth. Madeline Miller’s interpretations of mythological tales are delightfully emotional, intricate, and heart-wrenching. I absolutely adore her writing and look forward to reading more of her work. 4 stars
