Fantastic book! I loved the RH spin on a classic story! So good! I never would have imagined Toto as a harem member! That was a great twist. I loved how each character had their own distinct personality and they were so different! Dorothy was a great FMC! I hope to see more books from this author! I love this style!!!

oh my, ten out of ten. this book was so lovely and i cannot express how much I enjoyed reading it. The spice, plot, storyline, the characters, the depiction of the wizard of oz was all so fantastic. I am grateful to have gotten to read an advanced copy of this book and Leann really hit it out of the park with this one. Highly recommend reading, you will not be disappointed!

I’ll start this by saying that these books can absolutely stand on their own without the luscious reverse harem styled smut, but the smut is gorgeous too.
There was a real cleverness in this story in how the author incorporated elements from the original book and the movie adaptation like with Dorothy’s shoes starting silver and turning red as they absorbed the blood of her enemies and how the wizard’s task was to collect the soul items of the witches.’ I found both of those things, both clever and sweet little homages to L. Frank Baum. In saying this I did like the Alice one better but that had a lot to do with the fact Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland holds a complexity that Dorothy’s adventure doesn’t. What she done with that quick paced story that holds no adversity, was brilliant, but this one also was a little repetitive in a way the Alice one wasn’t. This got a bit kill a witch, get their artifact, kill a witch, get their artifact, and oh wait there’s another witch, but honestly these are minor gripes, these stories are by far the best smutty stories I have ever read as someone who doesn’t read a lot of (or really much at all) smut because it’s often tripe.

Dorothy (h), a struggling actress who finds herself in the strange world of Oz after a tornado hits her home in Kansas, accompanied by her emotional support dog, Toto, who transforms into a tall, handsome man named Tobias. Along the way, Dorothy encounters the scarecrow (Crowe), the tin man (Talos), and the lion (Leon), all of whom are connected to the witches of Oz and seek their own desires. They embark on a journey to confront the witches, and obtain the special artifacts to break their curses, through a gritty and dangerous version of Oz, filled with morally gray characters and intense relationships. Along the way Dorothy forms unique connections with Crowe, Talos, Leon, and Tobias. The story blends elements of horror, romance, and fantasy into a captivating tale with complex, each carrying their own traumas and struggles. A hot and steamy dark fantasy, reverse harem romance that offers a fresh take on a beloved classic with its engaging characters, unexpected plot twists, and steamy encounters. Just be aware that it delves into darker themes and contains explicit content, including dubious consent, violence, gore, and other potentially triggering elements.

A Deliciously Dark Re-telling In A Place Like No Other!
This story will suck you in like a tornado and take you on a wildly dark and steamy ride.
Like it's predecessor in this series (a standalone and unrelated to this story), it is relatively accurate to the story you know as a classic, but with muchh darker and more adult themes.
The main characters are complex and have faced many traumas to get to where they are. the development and story is well-rounded and the writing is superb.
The characters must embark on an adventure that is frought with danger, banter, humour ,spice and plot twists upon twists that you won't see coming. It's a fabulous books that will be devoured in one sitting quite easily!
I highly recommend this read!

I'm giving this a 3.5/5 because overall I really enjoyed it. It was a 4ish hour read, quick, spicy, dark and twisted, and kept me interested through the book.
I enjoyed the portrayal of our classic crew: Crowe (aka the scarecrow), the undead zombie-like man who enjoys cruelty for the sake of it; Talos (aka the tin man), our silent but deadly, but also sort of caring man whose bones were replaced with metal; Leon (aka the lion), our sexy alpha male lion shifter who can't shift back into his lion form; and Tobias (aka Toto), our former emotional support dog turned alpha dog shifter, plus sexy and loyal protector.
Dorothy was okay in this portrayal, I didn't love her but I didn't dislike her either. As the book went on I realized she was just the ultimate submissive person and I understood her character a bit more, but I didn't really enjoy the Kansas> Hollywood actress attempt>back to Kansas trope she had. It was interesting and totally fit into the plot really well, but It wasn't for me.
The spice was great! 5 stars for the spice, and another 5 stars for the reverse harem trope. I loved how all of this turned out, and I loved how the author used all the camping and walking to the different places as an avenue for not only getting to know our characters better, but also to invoke lots of spice with each of the men.
The mate mark? Hell yes. The mind talking post-spice encounter? Hell yes. The exhibitionism for Crowe? Hell to the yes.
I LOVED the portrayal of the 4 witches and their different versions of cruelty. I thought it was really well written and thought out, and the author did a great job balancing the darkness and cruelty with not going too far. The things they did were HORRIBLE and they were so sick and twisted, but I loved it. 5 stars for the witches!
Overall, I enjoyed this book! I think I would have rated it higher if I liked Dorothy more since she was the main character, but everyone and everything else was great. If you are looking for dark twisted retellings with dark/ dom/sub spice, this series is for you.
*This book was gifted to me in exchange for an honest review. All thoughts and opinions are my own*

First off this is the second book in her series of retelling’s but you don’t need to read the first to follow this book. I didn’t and I love this book!
I’ll say this I was excited to read this retelling of Oz simply because I’ve never been a true Wizard of Oz fan but this dark twisty plot kept me entranced. I started reading it May 2nd and finished it by May 8th. Only took that long because I’m a single mom and I had to take care of my kiddo.
This story was so fun, super descriptive and loads of entertaining for me. The first twist thrown at us readers almost made me stop reading but because I desperately wanted to know if I was right about what was going to happen I kept reading and you know what? It was worth it to continue the ride. Her descriptions of Oz and the characters were intriguing and so very enticing and made me feel like I was there with Dorothy and her male counterparts on this journey.
We all know Dorothy and in this journey she’s similar but not really. She talks about her insecurities and faces them which I love. She’s daring and unsure about so much it’s wonderful to relate to her.
Tobias (Toto) meeting him in Oz was what almost made me stop reading. But his gentle soul made me want to know if I was right.
Meeting Crowe (scarecrow) was what kept me reading. I love his dark edge and her descriptions of him!
Leon (lion) I love him I want to keep him forever, bite me please Leon.
Talos (tinman) I’ll take him too! He’s sweet and quiet but you know he’s always there and I want his metal bones to love me forever.
I’m so grateful I got to be an arc reader for this book because it truly made me want to read more by Leann Belle and I plan to. I love finding new authors to support in my reading adventures.
I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
