This is a very sweet book about 2 young people a grumpy and sunshine falling in love, actually talking about consent at all points, and magic in an urban fantasy setting. A great book all around.

Super fun! I'm so glad I gave this author another try.
Consent is sexy! Especially when that consent is asked for before even touching/holding hands with someone. I loved how the characters were so aware of their each other's boundaries and never crossed it.
My favourite was the cat 🐈 part 😂 No spoilers but it was hilarious and cute!

I thought this was a very adorable story about coming of age, finding yourself in a community, navigating first crushes, and standing up for yourself. I really loved the way that magic was woven into this urban setting, just how natural it felt for characters to have a magical governing body,
I also loved the way each character have various experiences that influenced how they approached magic - opinions of it that felt fairly nuanced.
And obviously, I loved the romance between the main character of Rook and Sun. They had such a lovely Frenemies to partners, dynamic, a grumpy sunshine romance that felt fairly natural
