Nice bathroom read. It handled ancient and old philosophy quiet a bit better than any modern questions. It delivers what it promises, no more no less.
I've learned basics about philosophers and philosophy through history, economics, and other courses, but never read any actual philosophy books. For me, this little book was perfect to fill in the gaps and connect everything together, and would work even if someone started with less context. Succinct and well ordered, it did its job perfectly.
I'm interested to try out the other books in the series, and share them with my kids someday.

I was expecting this book to end up as more of a coffee table book, just for people to flick through when boredom struck them, but actually this book is very insightful. It only promises a quick overview, which id definitely delivers, but there's just enough on every page to inspire one to go out and look into all 200 concepts in more depth. A lovely read for an overview on the pure range that philosophy expands over.

در مقایسه با کتاب های زیادی که در رابطه با فلسفه به صورت موضوعی و تاریخ فلسفه نوشته شده این کتاب اصلا کامل و جامع نیست. اگر میخواهید این کتاب را بخوانید یا باید آنرا بعنوان اولین کتاب فلسفی خود بخوانید که کمی با فلسفه آشنا شوید و یا بعنوان کتابی بعد از کتاب های دیگر برای یادآوری.
البته خلاصه گویی کتاب و جامع نبودن آن در نام آن ذکر شده. در کل، خواندنش بی فایده نبود.

i used to think it was kinda "taboo"to ready something related to "philosophy"since i heard from most people i know it'll only make me feel lost (?!) but instead it only made me curious (especially after i lost in during my master programme) so i bought the book, its kinda helpful to understand some. still think to read some more related book i guess.
