Great pacing; great action; great visuals, in both scope and visceral horror. The detective-heavy search for exposition from Vol 2 shifts to more brutal action in Vol 3, as Maika's strength and attitude are kept front and center.
Still cool. Still weird. Still hard to follow. Art continues to be fantastic. Definitely hard to get back into this with a gap - which means probably a re-read if it ever finishes. This one seemed to have a more obvious plot but not sure I remember enough of the side characters. And I wish they'd just follow one character and give a back-story - and maybe they already have and I've forgotten. Awesome anyway.

I love the art more than the story,but this volume really got me interested. It's hard for me to keep up with what's happening, but as the information seeps out I feel better about it. The cat lectures are super helpful info dumps 😂
