I do love Sanderson’s shorter fiction stories. I would have loved a proper book on this - the background of the waystop, Silence’s upbringing etc.

A good read for the car journey tho!

really? following the glowing horse piss? Madame Silence, William Ann, Daggon, Earnest, Chesterton, Sebruki, and White Fox- what? Forescouts? whatever happened to nuance. for a short novella it's terribly redundant.

thoroughly enjoyed the setting of this short story, my mind oddly placed it in a yosemite road amidst the trees. i’m also always a sucker for single parent + kid stories (ex: the last of us). if more is written in this world, i will be very pleased :)
