Woah there - that was a story for Halloween if there ever was one. I’m glad it turned out ok, I need that every now and then (especially after what he did to me with Dark Talent a couple of nights ago!). And I don’t care that he said Hoid wasn’t in this one, who else would be the random guy who was sitting there in the beginning and then leaves at the end?! I mean, it’s not the first time he’s lied to us for our own good. And every time I run into these cosmer random stories, I wonder how it all fit with the whole “gods” thing and how the magic system manifests itself in connection to the others - since Othbringer kind of made that pretty clear with the whole Warbreaker crossover.
Warbreaker. I should reread that. :)

And then of course there has to be this high pitch scream outside my window! Probably a firework, but not to my imagination! Which is where these stories live! And then we watched The Princess and the Frog today and my son made a picture of those shadow monsters and taped it to my door without telling me!!
Lucky Charms. Nothing can really go bad with Lucky Charms, and in my college bowl, which got me through quite a bit of soul sucking those years.
Oh gosh, it’s that time I was a station completely alone in the woods for a girls camp faith walk right after I watched The Village for the first time all over again....!

You’ve got to be kidding me! I went to borrow Edgedancer because it’s chill and Lift is funny and it’s available to download right now without a hold, WHEN MY ACCOUNT STOPS WORKING!! It says that it can’t verify my account number, so I sit there and punch in my library card number and pin a billion times and it doesn’t work. Then I try to log in on the library app rather than Libby, AND IT DOESN’T WORK EITHER!!! I start having a real heart attack at this point because, well, IT’S MY LIBRARY CARD and I wouldn’t be able to call anyone about it until morning. I do one last check and go to the library site on my computer and try to log in. I get an error message again, only this time it mentions that everything is down for matenance until 7am tomorrow. >:(
You know when you pray hard than God will save you from something horrible (like being scared out of your mind because of a stupid - ok it wasn’t stupid it was actually a super cool story) and then you get an answer (like uncontrollable fury at the library system) that just knocks out whatever was bothering you - but then you want to yell “NO NOT THAT WAY!!!!”
Forget made up spectors - I have real life horrors I have to deal with right now.
I will now comfort myself with the memory of earlier this evening when I came out of my bedroom because I thought I heard Never Ending Story when I thought my husband was watching Stranger Things to be faced with the fact that I did in fact hear that epic of songs.
But just to clarify, I’m still sleeping with the lights on.
