2.5 they only had chemistry when they first met, everything else was just not it. Also Laurie was such a boomer, I couldn’t deal with it

5 Stars - so much fun to read - lol moments - perfect cringe and angst - i f'ing loved this book

omg - you guys!! This book was great. I am not a super fan of ice queens but when it's done right I am all in. One of the things I appreciated about this book is the ice queen's love interest was pretty spunky and wasn't a push over. There are several points in the book that I was chuckling and smiling. It definitely has it's funny bits. The story beyond just the romance was interesting as well.

This is just a 100% fun read with a wonderful age gap ice queen romance. I loved it. If you have kindle unlimited, make this your no-brainer next read.

p.s. picture Naomi Watts as Laurie and Sophie Cookson as Jack. You're welcome.

Loved it. It has a lot of tropes: age gap, boss/employee, ice queen. I love both Markinson and MacLeod separately and together they’re even better. Highly recommend.

Enjoyable and very hot age difference romance. I could take or leave the finance firm parts. It makes me want to go find some Rebecca/Keeley femslash fanfic, haha.
