I really liked the first one better. This was fine. More like just okay. It almost seemed like he was trying to find any way to make Annie’s life more horrible than it could have possibly been. The last straw for me was the baby. I almost just put the book down, honestly. “Let’s see what I can do to make every woman who reads this cry” is what it felt like. The best part of the book is the part where she meets Eddie from the first Five People book, and I’m guessing it’s because I have an emotional connection to Eddie already. I didn’t get enough time with anyone else in the story to really connect with them. The idea of 5 people is great, but this stretched it too far for me.
This was recommended by a friend and follows on from the five people you meet in heaven. A book I love!
This follow up absolutely blew me away, I think this is probably up there as one of the best books I’ve ever read!!
So easy to read and I found it so relatable (not that I’ve been to heaven!) and super special.

I’m not crying, you are. You probably have if you’ve read this book. So many lessons for Annie, all from people who cared so much for her. So many lessons for us. Once again, Albom does wonders!
I think I might have liked this one more than the first one. Don't get me wrong I LOVE The Five People You Meet in Heaven, but there's something about it that you can tell the author has evolved more as a writer. It's more complex in a way.
That ending I never saw coming. While I can't decide if how I feel about the end, I can tell you in was for sure bittersweet.

4/5 stars; I thought I was on the right track to guessing the ending but it surprisingly had a little twist. Really enjoyed this short bit of fiction! I think the concept of this story, much like it’s predecessor, still maintained some charm. Time well spent!
