Not as good as the previous 2 Jefferson Bass novels. The story was really predictable here and the last 1/3 of the book seemed hackneyed. The forensic parts of the book were excellent, as always, but there were not enough details to make the book outstanding. Still, I enjoyed it and thought it was a fun read.

Once again I figured out the plot WAY early in the book ... barely 50 pages in. But it is still a great ride. I wonder, though, how much more serious danger the authors can put their characters in without running out of plots ... purt near killed 'em this time out.

Best one of the series so far. Some parts were a little long winded with describing things and weren't needed for over all story, but overall a good book.

Got through this very quickly once I got into it and the plot thickened. Read the second half so fast

Too many things going on in this book at the same time that are bounced back and forth between but with no real suspense or thrill. It's all just flat and boring and the character of Dr. Bill is beginning to become annoying and a bit to big for his britches. Also one of the plot stories was a ripped from the headlines real case that was so similar and close in timing it's like the authors (yes it's two people writing this and combining their names for one) just wrote about the news and added some fictional people. Not very creative to add that they already copy the idea of characters and format from another authors book series.

It has been years since I read a Body Farm book. This is such a tremendous and unique foundation for mysteries. The dialog can get a little slow and even repetitive. Still, this is a well-thought-out story. I found a few plot points that stretched the bounds of reality, but the book was worth it.
