To say the book didn't disappoint me is to say nothing. As always, Fitz and Fool grab your attention and make you suffer and rejoice with them. Abductions and torture, love and friendship, magic and blood, Elderlings and dragons - never a dull moment. Leaving the world of the Six Duchies after finishing the book is hard.

Pace was a little slower than Fool's Assassin and it could have perhaps used some tighter editing to help the story move along. I raced through the second half of the book as the plot was very compelling. Less POV from Bee in this one which I did miss. Another cliffhanger end leaving me wanting more!
