3.5/5. It was cute and I need an Irishman in my life now. I liked that the sexy scenes weren’t too sexy that I felt like I had to fast forward.

3.5*

i went into this without expectations, and actually really liked it. the writing is beautiful. only thing that made me not completely love this was the fact that we didn’t get to see the characters much outside of their movie set; i wish we could’ve seen them in different settings, doing other things besides either rehearsing for scenes, talking about them or filming them. i understand it’s the entire book’s setting, but it’s just something that bothered me. it felt like they only existed there, and we didn’t really get to see their personalities outside of the movie.

other than that, it was pretty okay! my favorite character was joshua because of his character development, and his insistence and devotion to sobriety. sloane wasn’t someone i related to or genuinely loved, but she was alright at the end when the true character growth was coming into action.

This book was sitting on my shelf for awhile and I wish I had read it earlier. This book is a cute and fun read that is entertaining throughout the entire story. Solane has a certainly unique family that all decides to work together making a film. Her family decides to hire her former costar Joseph as the lead main character for the movie and Solane is quickly assigned to help him run lines. While Solane and Joe had a rocky past, they learn how to be friends and eventually become costars on her family film. This book has strong family ties and cute chemistry that makes for a fun read. 4⭐️, 2🌶

Despite the 2 star rating I really liked reading this book. The premise was intriguing and loved the idea of the story was awesome but there were so many things missing in this book.
For one, the plot of the movie that they were filming was annoyingly confusing and a little stupid. If your going to write a romance book about actors in a romance movie, you should be able to come up with a good plot for both.
This was also yet another insta love story. I didn’t understand why they loved each other. The book just told me they did.
Also, at this point romance books should be two perspectives unless there is a very good reason why they aren’t.

It was an okay novel. I think it was a RomCom, but it felt a bit teenage angst for me. The characters are not teens, they are in the their 30's. There are storylines of love gone wrong, recovery, and repairing relationships. Language is throughout the storyline. I had serious thoughts of not finishing.

Emily Henry recommended this on Instagram to her fans of Beach Read. And I really enjoyed it. It was light and fun, a great summer read. While the plot is pretty expected with your classic Pride&Prejudice story, the characters and fun dialogue hooked me right away.
