Too much fencing/musketeer narrations to wait for the gender bent twist of disabled female musketeer...also not bonding with MC...and I generally dislike most narratives that uphold parts of colonialism that are romanticized (by white ppl) like the whole law and order of musketeer era Paris.

Not in the mood for a book with lots of both internalized and externalized ableism right now! Might try picking this up again later

Very enjoyable! A bit predictable at times but very fun. Listened to the audiobook which was helpful with the French phrases. Could kind of predict the twist but still enjoyed. Nice to see disability rep in historical fiction too! And I loved the queer side characters! Im a huge o.g. Three Musketeers fan so I appreciated the ways it connected to the canon and mostly stayed true to the characterizations!
This was one of my most anticipated book of the year and it blew my expectations and hopes out of the water.
It was so amazing, I loved all the characters and I really related to Tania.
I love my stabby girls <3

The real question is, why don't you have this genderbent retelling of The Three Musketeers on your shelf yet?!
