So, the first thing to know is that basically, I'm not the biggest fan of the story around the Musketeers. But I was told that this book, I should be able to appreciate it.
Clearly, it's a pretty easy read, and really interesting. Especially for the representations !!!!
Besides that, the characters, the sets, it was really a good read.
But. Of course there is a but !
Well, that was all about the story around The Musketeers; and as it's still the subject, I could not have appreciated more.
But really, if you like the base, go for it, I don't see this book enough on social media etc; so go go go go !!

I really enjoyed this read! It was fun to read a classic adventure story with a twist and a focus on female, disabled, and queer characters. There was a nice balance struck in showing that queer and disabled characters existed while also being realistic about what that would look like in the historical setting in which the story took place. I loved reading about a group of girls coming together to gather intelligence and fighting to make their country a safe. It’s a good reminder that even when they didn’t get any credit, women have always played an important role in politics and society. The author, who is chronically ill, did a very thoughtful job of representing challenges related to chronic illness and showing what positive support can look like. As an avid reader of historical fiction, this story checked off a lot of boxes for me and I hope to see this author writing more books with twists on classic novels!

I was really excited to read this, knowing that it had a main character with PoTS. And it did not disappoint.
The story begins with Tania's father, an ex-Musketeer, teaching her to fence whilst her mother wanted her to prepare to find a husband who would see past her illness and care for her. Tania desperately wanted to follow in her father's footsteps, so when her life is suddenly torn apart and she is sent to a finishing school, L’Académie des Mariées, she believes that dream died with her father.
However the school is not all it seems and is actually training female spies. Tania, along with three other girls, work hard to uncover a deadly plot, which may also shed light on who killed her father. But can she do it without her illness holding her back?
One For All is a delightful story, full of fiercely proud and protective female characters who rally around each other to accomplish their goal. There is mystery and intrigue, fighting and flirtation, and a sense of sisterhood most of us long for.
And the disability rep is done so well. Tania's symptoms are described in perfect detail, so that the reader has no doubt that this is a truly debilitating condition. And yet, through the support of her friends and some aids along the way, Tania is able to play a pivital role in the plot. This isn't about her overcoming her condition, rather about how she learns to live with it. And that's the best kind of rep.
I listened to the audio version narrated by Mara Wilson and thoroughly recommend it.

Not the kind of book I normally read, but I met the author and she was amazing! Thought I’d give her book a try and IT WAS SO GOOD. It felt like reading a darker Barbie and the Three Musketeers. The ending made me cry like a baby. I loved it <33 I can’t wait for this author to release another book
