Thank you NetGalley for the ARC!!

All I can write at this moment is that I cried. This book is so good, it made me cry because it is amazing and because I have never felt this way about a book. This is, undoubtedly, my most favourite read of 2021. I cannot wait for more readers to read this phenomenal book about spies, found family, female friendships and women with swords!

Overall, I rlly enjoyed this book, it definitely had the vibe of the musketeers that I love sm and a strong sense of found family !!! It was a good mix of plot and character too and i enjoyed the character growth and watching Tania discover her strength !!! I rlly loved all the characters, esp Aria, tho I feel like she didnt have a real part until the last third of the book, tho I loved her from her first interaction !!! the only thing that spoiled it for me was the mix of French and English as I found it very jarring, even if there was often context to help you figure out wgat the French meant or a direct translation, it still took me out of the stpry and made me question if it was necessary for it to be there at all!! However, I still rlly enjoyed this book and it was rlly refreshing to have good Chronic Illness rep in an action packed book !!!

Tania has always been known as “the sick girl” because of her dizziness that constantly troubles her. Papa has never seen her as weak, he’s trained her in fencing and taught her she’s strong even though she herself doesn’t believe it. When Papa is brutally murdered and an invitation from Madame Treville comes to her at her Papa’s request she cautiously accepts. What she thought was a finishing school turns out to be an exclusive small group of young women that are Musketeers in their own rights. They are the spies that will find a way to save their country from plots to overthrow and plunder. But will these girls accept Tania for who she is or will they also dismiss her because of her dizziness like everyone else?

This was cleverly written and I loved getting to know Tania and the girls! Their sisterhood is sweet and fierce and I’m glad we have more good female friendship stories!
