I was surprised by how much I loved this book. The beginning was a little slow for me but it really picked up after about 20%. I loved the characters, especially Felix, and I found myself not knowing which boy I wanted him to end up with. The guy who was kind of a dick but had a sensitive heart or the best friend that was always there for him, supporting him in every way he needed. I kind of hoped it might turn into a poly relationship actually, but alas, we can’t always have everything. I really liked the themes of self-love throughout as well and how Felix learned more about himself and how to love everything about himself through his art. All-in-all a fantastic read.

This is a book about finding and learning to love oneself. It was so cute and I found myself internally and sometimes externally screaming. Everything is so interconnected and cool. The plot had a lot of different points which sometimes felt like too much but it was still fabulous.

2 hours 42 minutes - I bought this book in 2021, when I first started properly realising I wasn't cis. It seemed symbolic of something, buying this book, so I decided I wouldn't read it until I had fully accepted my identity. Recently, I got to the point that I wasn't going to fully figure myself out any time soon, and that was okay, so I picked up this book. I wasn't expecting it, but this book was perfect for that. Felix doesn't have it all sorted out either, and that becomes part of his storyline.
I loved the characters in this book - all of them felt so real and three dimensional and loveable. The two love interests had so much chemistry with Felix, so much so I was physically reacting to it, smiling or having to put the book down for a moment. And the whole story just filled me with so much emotion. By the end of the book I was full on sobbing, and I don't think a book has ever made me do that before. This book is just so so good that I can hardly put it into words. I know that it will mean a lot to me for years into the future.

Very underwhelmed and I don't want to read about teenagers anymore.
