I didn’t enjoy that the only two queer women of color characters were both very problematic and the one white lesbian was portrayed as the “woke” and aware person. I loved how the author showed how the internalized trauma experienced by Felix greatly impacted his decisions both for himself and in his relationships.

Very underwhelmed and I don't want to read about teenagers anymore.

I would describe this as a good representation Love Simon, a sometimes cheesy teen drama that makes you feel warm and sometimes frustrated and even when dusccusing hard topics still manages to make you feel good and with amazing representation of the feelings you encounter when figuring out your gender identity.
Added to that the fact that the character is a Demiboy makes me so happy!
Seeing myself represented and having Felix explain his feelings about his gender was so good to read. I haven't had a book make me feel this warm and fuzzy in a while.
