When the supporting characters are all, 'we're totally feminists, but he wouldn't have made such an effort to be mean to you for so long if he didn't like you, so you should totally be thrilled that he's now showing a shred of interest'...
Run away. Run away fast. Life is too short for that shit.
Also, I know nothing about snowboarding, but doesn't it seem the slightest bit unrealistic that all a girl would need to do to learn an entirely new skill category—not single skill, mind you, but skill category—is put her mind to it and stop being scared, and then she'd instantly be at a competitive level in that new skill category (snowboarding jumps, in this case) with approximately...oh...zero practice?

(I’m still rating it because I read over 50%)
I might have enjoyed this if I had read it when I was in high school.
I really didn’t like that Hayden & Nick were in this pattern: bicker, random kiss/makeout then argue & dislike each other again.
There was no forward progress in their relationship it was just this constant loop.

The book is about Hayden and Nick, who used to date until a very publicised break-up and now Nick is chastising Hayden for not being as good as snow boarding as a guy. I just love the way Hayden stands up for herself and challenges Nick to a contest, and, well, I love their part-friends, part-enemies and part-romantic relationship.

Hayden and Nick went out in 7th grade, but now, they are exs who hate each other. When Hayden wins the girl's division of the local snowboarding competition, Nick says that even though she won, she is still no where near as talented as any of the boy's in the boy division. They decide to challenge each other to a snowboarding competition to see who really is the best boarder in all of Snowfall. (Snowfall.... really... REALLY)
Barf, this book drove me insane! It was extremely repetitive and it just became overly annoying. Some of the jokes were cute and I did find some of the book funny. Although it was a very quick read, I found myself rolling my eyes more times than not. It was very childish and Hayden was so immature it infuriated me, same with Nick. They acted like they were still stuck in 7th grade rather then 11th grade. I did like Josh and Hayden's relationship though, it reminded me of my brother and I :)

These books are always so cute and funny and just make me smile. A nice fluffy read for a snowy day.
This book is what it is. A fun read. I love that there is no pretending that it's got a whole lot of merit. It's a YA rom com book and I thoroughly enjoyed it! Even LOL a few times!
