Five-fucking-stars. 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟

Still don't like Jikka though πŸ˜‚ I would say fuck him, but his annoying, lazy, drunken, perverted ass would probably like that. The rest are β™₯ This series is just * chef kiss * very, very kill your darlings. Literally.

I called bs on the big reveal/secret for the tensen, it's so out of nowhere, but okay lol.

Also, get yo ass a man like Gabimaru. Mfker crawled his way home from grave multiple times just to go home to his wife πŸ˜‚ the embodiment of "no grave can hold my body down. I'll crawl home to her."

Great ending, wraps up everyone’s story and leaves a little room for the imagination.

All in all Hell’s Paradise is a great short series. Plenty of action, character development & story progression each book.

i feel like the author was too scared to kill more people, it would have been so cool if only three people had actually survived

A decent series. Awesome fight choreo and beautiful art. Love how ominous, uncanny, and straightup breathtaking a landscape/human body/monster design can get. Also appreciate the detailed lessons in Chinese and Japanese culture from the translation notes at the end of each volume. Every person in the main groups got interesting backstories and development by the end.
My problem with the series mainly lied with a few characters being introduced hastily, at one point, who had such strong intro auras but then were reduced half-baked stereotypes - I'd like to know more about Shugen and the Shogun Tokugawa for ex. Moreover, I'd have liked to see more Tao training from the good guys, cuz the way a lot of them got powered up just by going "eh, let's just run straight in, think about someone valuable, and see". The ending wasn't bad, but kinda anticlimactic. Overall, enjoyed the experience, would not re-read, but will catch the anime if it ever comes out again

one of the best shonen manga i've read. consistent storyline and narrative from start to finish. characterization is dynamic and interesting. plot is unique. theme is grounded. motif is sustained. overall a pleasant read. 10/10
