The story itself was good, but the many many grammatical mistakes, incorrect use of vocabulary and incorrect Spanish from the “Spanish teacher” really grated on me. The ending was rather unsatisfying as well.

A very heavy topic to write about and unfortunately something that happens more often than we think. I appreciate the author bringing this to light however, I did find it a bit long and slow. I also wished it came full circle with some of the characters and a bit more closure would have made it more enjoyable for me.

This is probably one of the best domestic dramas I’ve read this year it was such a hard read but in all the right ways, it’s emotional, impactful and thought-provoking. I really enjoyed the multiple POVs and the character development throughout the book even if I didn’t agree with the decisions of some characters you can understand their feelings.

This was a family drama rather than the thriller it was tagged as.
It was a solid read, not what I expected going in but it kept me engaged. I liked the writing style thought the characters could have been fleshed out a little.
