the art is lovely but there's a distance to the writing that made it hard to connect with natasha as a character. i'll give it one more volume probably

3 stars

Natasha Romanova aka Black Widow is an occasional Avenger, S.H.I.E.L.D agent, and spy finally meets her match, or does she?
A kickass heroine kicking asses left and right while showing the appropriate amount of cleavage (almost none) and atoning for her dark past.
I'm not entirely sure whether she has superpowers or not but she's a much better spider than Spiderman.
The art is terrific!

Great Phil Noto art, but story was somewhat bland/generic and I lost interest fairly early on.

Storyline is a solid 3- good ideas, but slow paced and a bit underwhelming. Giving 4 stars though, cause honestly this artwork deserves an additional level of recognition! Beautiful watercolour work!!! Hoping it picks up the pace in the next books

i would be lying if i said i didn’t start this just for phil noto’s amazing art, and i have no shame in admitting that, but the story is also great so far

OMG SO AMAZING IN SO MANY WAYS I HAVE SO MANY FEELINGS FOR THIS RUN!!!!!
First off, Phil Noto is a god among men. His art is so beautiful. His women look like women. His faces are lovely. His colour schemes are perfect. Have I mentioned his women look like women? They do. Phil Noto is far and away my favourite comic artist ever. Everrrrrrrrrrrrr.
I told Stephanie that the art was like %85 of why I adored this run. And that's saying a lot, because the writing is also amazing. I am loving the story so very, very much.
Really, it's just a fantastic run all ways around.
READ IT! BUY IT!

The art is wonderful but the story is severely lacking unfortunately. There is a pretty cute Hawkeye reference though.
