It was way better than expected. I liked Ilana, though her military training becomes irrelevant for most of the book. I liked Ezekiel's character arc, there is a difference in the way his POV's are written, it's subtle, but it's there, and it shows how he changed thoroughout the story. I'm not sure I like Ophelia as a villain, in this book she seemed a little two-dimensional, her actions evil for the sake of it. I will definitely continue reading this series, tough I'm not very excited with the Raegel-Agatha pairing. We'll see.

Ilana I adore this character so much and there is so much development in this entire story. Ezekiel I adore how each of the characters have a dedicated chapter. You want dragons, vampire and other fantasy creatures this is the book for you and hotness Steamy you've got it. Ophelia gets under my skin as a character. Amazing descrptive writing hats off to CR Robertson for an extremely well written book the world building on phenomenal. I cannot wait to read the next book in this series. This is one of the best fantasy book I have read this year.
