This was weird juvenile fantasy for me. And reminded me a lot of Frankenstein. I don't need to read the rest of the series.

This was ever-so-close to being a five-star rating. The world of the Edge is one of the most bizarre and inventive ones out there, but it still maintains believability by being well-thought out and consistent with its own rules. The story is good but not mindblowingly so, but any minor complaints there are outweighed by how much I liked the characters and the pure imagination of the world.

Such an inventive series! I wish I read more of these books when I was a kid. I had a great time revisiting this story! There are elements of mystery, action, and friendship. Fantastic read :)

Eerie and now that I think about it probably owes a lot to Frankenstein. Possibly the most science fiction-y of all the Edge Chronicles books.
