Could not put this book down. The characters were all likeable, and as an ex-teacher I could relate to them all.

The absolute heart break that this book includes has really stuck with me, again as many teachers know atleast one student like this who we worry about and care for in the ways uni never prepared us for.

A great read that hopefully gives insight and challenges preconceptions, shedding light on the larger issues.

This was a moving story with a very believable range of characters all with their own issues. It was well paced, was very informative and emotive and made me think a lot about the education system.

Oof I was not expecting this to be this sad! Love Gabbie Stroud's non-fiction and this did not disappoint. I couldn't put it down, and it carried so much emotional weight because it seemed so realistic reflecting the pressures on teachers in every Australian school.

A heart wrenching devastating book. If you are a teacher, you will know the truth that Stroud writes.
