Im happy I finally read this book. My husband bought me Julia 1984 for my Birthday! And I had never read the original so I need to pick it up first. I liked 1984. First person prospective of what he experienced and learned, and had to live with. It was a very interesting take on the possibility's of government control going to far. It was a warring about how informant of history can be changed or completely erased. And what it would look like to live in this time. It was sad to see what could happy in a society that wants to control what people think and what they know. Im excited to hear from Julia's prospective in her book. From her point of view. I love that she was just a little mentioned person in 1984. I look forward to reading the events as she experienced them.

God alfreakinmighty.
This is one of those books that makes me feel like a seriously small frisbee in the Pacific Ocean. Far too shallow for such depth. I love books like that.
I don't think there could possibly be a more horrifying future than the one presented by Orwell in this book. My stomach was tightened to the point of pain while reading it.
As I've said too many times now, why the HELL wasn't I made to read this in high school? Seriously? You idiots make me read Across Five Aprils, but not this?
