One word: Kisa. She's in my top 5 favorite characters and we get to meet her in this volume. Yet again, we learn more about the drama and angst the Sohmas have to go through and it broke my heart when you learn that Kisa had been teased die to something she couldn't even control. I do love how Tohru was the one to help her through her issues, along with Yuki and Hatsuharu. You can see the care and compassion some of the zodiac members have towards one another and how close they can be due to their curse.

AWWW it's so cute how Tohru cares about them all. Even when they're fighting.
But it was so sad how Hatori couldn't marry the woman he loves, all because of the curse of the Chinese zodiac.
This is what I love about this series, there's sadness, and happiness and it's so complex. And I love the drawings!

This one gets it's own special review. This was my very first manga I ever read. Yes, number 5 in the series. Hilariously my error. I even taught myself how to draw in the manga style by modeling after this cover. I actually didn't like the way Fruit's Basket ended in the manga so it's strange that I have such a mix of nostalgic love and yet dislike for this series.

So there is not much actually happening other than characters working out their emotional issues and I am still really enjoying this series.

These books never really have much in the way of a solid story line but they often outline and discuss many morals and life lessons.
