Was an interesting read. This book kept a good base with a balance of action, story, character development, and YZ romance. I grew to like the characters but not fully loving them yet. The book leaves on a cliffhanger and I am curious to see what there is to come.

I really don't read YA anymore. I got this one free on Kindle and the author is being featured in one of subscription boxes so I thought I'd give it a try. It was okay, nothing really original. I do love a love triangle but this was a boring one where it's like no duh she's going to end up with this dude. They use a lot of modern slang in this fantasy world. Every time she called her friend Bestie, I cringed. I probably would have liked this if I was a YA or new to the Romantasy world but it was very run of the mill. I probably won't continue.
