Couldn’t get into it. Felt like he kept repeating the same thing over or there was as simpler way to explain.

This book deserves credit for being a bit of a "first" or for at least popularizing what sets rich people apart from poor. It is more of a general concepts/ideas manual than a detailed strategy guide, which is what some people frustrated.

Here's the thing, no one's going to be able to tell you exactly how to become rich because there is no exact way. However, there is something to be said for a difference in mindset that makes poor and middle class people struggle more than they need to. Kiyosaki breaks down the main differences in how the rich live and manage their money, versus the middle class, versus the poor.

For instance, he explains how corporations are used by people to use money before Uncle Sam takes a bit out of it. A corporation is no more than a folder with legal documents in it saying what you're business is about. You can spend they money you make in a way that further builds your assets rather than losing half of it to the government.

There is a lot more that he gets into, including his interesting upbringing with both a Rich Dad and Poor Dad. He isn't a boring writer but sometimes drones on about the same concepts.

Beneran nggak nyangka bukunya se-Fun dan seringan ini bahasannya (padahal temanya cukup berat ya). Suka.

How bad is this book? That can be summed up best by this quote from the movie "Billy Madison":

"Mr. [Kiyosaki], what you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul."

My first ever book towards gaining financial literacy. It did give me some helpful insights to get started with. I loved it!

Unfortunately, most of us living with a poor dad mindset.

“Seorang karyawan dengan pekerjaan yang aman dan terjamin, tanpa kecerdasan keuangan, tidak memiliki jalan keluar dari kesulitan keuangan yang mereka hadapi.” (Hal. 94)

He has a lot of good ideas and opened my mind to different ways of looking at minding your "business" and what constitutes an good investment (making your money work for you—not you working for money).

Thought he was pretty hard on his biological dad (he refers to him throughout the book as the "poor" dad or the (seemingly mockingly) "educated" dad.
