The best part of Mortis are the shortest and the worst are the longest, the Titan fighting isn't bad but sometimes felt a little confusing though not as bad as other parts of the book, it's a shame they chose to take Ollanius character in the director they did I'm not sure how it will end but I greatly prefer the original theory, also he's storyline here isn't very good, Keelers too didn't interest me greatly, I wish they focus on the other sections more especially katsuhiro. 2.5

I don't know what it is with the Siege of Terra, we're seeing some really great installments, and then we see a really terrible installment.

And this unfortunately is one of the really terrible ones. Nothing important happens. What little does happen has no impact on the rest of the story. As they say, this entire novel could have been a two paragraph email.

The worst part is this should have been the crowning glory of the god engines storylines, and it's just... not. The God Engines wind up being mostly an irrelevence.

Just plain boring I'm sad to say.

This book is sometimes a pain to read. Overly bombastic and flowery language abounds, to the point where it’s just kind of cringe worthy. The author continually tries and fails to evoke some sort of supernatural imagery and extreme hyperbole by wrenching his word choice into the realm of “WTF is this overwrought self important crap.”

Here’s to hoping this series is over soon, I’m kind of committed now, I just don’t want to read more bombastic pompous unnatural descriptions.

This book is only for true fans of 40K Who just absolutely have to follow the story no matter how poorly written a book is, and those who do not care about well written novels.

The worst siege of Terra book. Both times I’ve read the series I’ve put down the book at the exact same grueling section.

Great book, loved reading it with my wife. She's a massive Warhammer fan and I love learning the lore with her. The characters are great, even if a majority of them aren't great people. Can definitely see how Warhammer and Dune might be connected.

Following Saturnine was always going to be hard but I enjoyed this for what it was. The titan battles were fun and the perpetual story was a nice aside

Very, very good. A key BL/HH writer pulling out all the stops.
