I loved this because it's just a 'normal' picture book that happens to have a gay couple at the centre of it; it's not about gay marriage. Chloe is worried about her uncle getting married and not being able to spend time with her, but it turns out that instead of losing one uncle she actually gets two.
Illustrations are colourful and the story moves swiftly along touching on some big feelings without being over the top.

This was so freaking cute! First of all, the artwork is absolutely beautiful in this book. So stunning to look at and explore all the little details in the illustrations! And secondly, I adore the cheerful, hopeful, and lighthearted nature of this story! It really does a good job of showing kids that even if they're afraid of losing someone to marriage that the change really doesn't have to be scary or terrible, especially when it means that the person in your family is finding someone that they love, especially when that person brings them happiness. It also does a lovely job of showing how when your loved one is happy, that happiness carries on to you as well. Very lovely little story. I adored it! Definitely a good book to let your children read if they're feeling any anxiety about losing time with loved ones because of marriages or changes in partnership.

I love this book! It's absolutely beautiful in its art and meaning. It shows the reader that just because things are changing doesn't mean that you can't still have love. I adore how everyone in this book is so accepting of Bobby and Jaime's wedding. There's so much love and care displayed on these pages, it just brought a smile to my face. The art is stunning! I love how vibrant the colors are and I love how sweet the story is. I think everyone should read this book to see and learn how love is all that matters within a family unit. A new favorite of mine for sure.

I especially love that this book is about a same-sex marriage but doesn't actually mention that it's an issue. The little girl hamster (guinea pig?) just wants to make sure that her Uncle Bobby will still have time to spend with her after he gets married. But she's happy to know that she will have ANOTHER uncle!

This was a very sweet book! I love that Chloe is worried she’s going to lose her uncle but discovers that she’s getting another uncle she loves when Uncle Bobby gets married! The illustrations were beautiful (I read the newer version with people instead of guinea pigs), I really liked that the illustrator showed gentle intimacy between Bobby and Jamie!

This book has gotten a reboot for 2020. The illustrations are now real people. I thought this book was great.

A sweet book about Chole, niece of Bobby who is getting married to his soon-to-be-husband, delving into her feelings about sharing her favorite uncle with another. Seeing that although somethings might change the love that Bobby has for Chole is still there even if he is marrying Jamie. Cute, and inspiring, and shows another type of union.

This book is remarkable for including a gay wedding, but not really being about a gay wedding. It's mostly about a little girl who's worried that her favorite uncle won't have time for her after he gets married.
