I think The Fake Out might be my favorite Stephanie Archer book. I loved every single thing about it. I loved Hazel and Rory so so much ! I loved their dynamic, their banter and their sexual tension. Rory was so funny and such a golden retriever with a filthy mouth and a great sense of humor. He wasn’t afraid of expressing his feelings and yet completely respected Hazel and her way of dealing with things.
Also, I’m pretty sure this was the hottest Stephanie Archer book of yet. I always love how she manages to balance cute characters and cute romance with spice. But this one was off the charts.
Simply perfection in my eyes.

I loved Rory and Hazel! The witty banter, the secret feelings, how caring they both are. Rory is my new hockey boyfriend and you can’t change my mind.
Omg this book had me kickin' my lil feeties because rory was so cute. I loved this one way more than the first book in the Vancouver Storm series. I was honestly pleasantly surprised and I found it difficult to put it down once I started!

The book is so cute, no third-act break up or miscommunication. None any cringe trope. The chemistry between Rory and Hazel is natural and full of cute moment.
Though there are too many possessive and protective words had been used in this book. Why those words need to be used in every single chapter???! Forgive me to not having English as first language, I swear that I read no less than 10 times I misread possessive as possessed (because it’s too much) and wondered if the author just decided to randomly drop some spiritual elements :)))
