This book was so fun and just made me so happy to read! I was smiling and laughing literally the whole time and is the best sports romance and contemporary romance I’ve ever read.

Everything about this book (and series) is perfect to me. The relationship, the setting, the plot, the character growth!! It’s all so so good!

To really start off I LOVED the plot and tropes so much. Fake dating is one of my favs and this did no disappoint. Watching them make Hazel’s ex jealous was so funny 🤭

For the romance it was so so good! Just like the last book there was spice but the character’s still developed a meaningful connection with each other and true love that wasn’t based solely on lust. Their supportiveness and protectiveness of each other was so cute and I loved it so much! Rory IS the perfect book boyfriend 👌 His humor was so enjoyable and the back and forth banter was so entertaining. Hazel was also so fun and I liked her a lot more than I liked Pippa in the last book (sorry 🙈). Their whole relationship was so cute and I love how they had their academic history from high school.

Both of them had such good character development throughout this book. Hazel healed a part of herself by finding love with Rory and gained the courage to truly reach for her dreams and confront her mom. While Rory was able confront both his parents by the end in attempt to repair their relationships. With each other they were able to face their biggest fears because they had each other and that was just one of the best parts to read about.

A few more favorite moments: him teaching her to since skate, the crystal dragon 😍, ALL of the Christmas scenes, and ofc the ending epilogue 🤭.

Overall this book was just so perfect. Like I honestly feel like everything I just said is rambling because I just can’t put into words how much joy this book brought me while reading it. Definitely one I’ll be putting on my favorites shelf and will thinking about for a long time🥹

So so for The Wingman next!! 💗

Stephanie Archer has a way of making you feel like these characters are yours alone.

I went in expecting this book to have all the torment of a usual enemies to lovers, but this was like jumping onto a squishy mattress and fluffy pillows in slow motion. It was perfect.

Really enjoyed the arc Rory experiences around his faltering love for hockey, most ice hockey books class it as the best thing ever but Rory wanted more than the goals, he wanted it to matter.

It also helps that there’s an ex boyfriend in the mix to put back in his place, we all love a protective golden retriever fake-soon-to-be-not-fake boyfriend.
