Prachtig boek! Ik werd het verhaal echt ingezogen, het voelde bijna alsof ik zelf ook in Libanon was. Zo jammer dat het maar 200 pagina's telt.

Geschreven op een rustgevende manier en erg gedetailleerd. Bij momenten was het wel langdradig. Zeker met het feit dat er niet echt duidelijke hoofdstukken zijn waardoor ik het gevoel had dat het boek oneindig veel pagina had.

Mooi beeld over relatie, familie en Libanon en zijn inwoners.

I had high expectations, but unfortunately, they weren't met. The writing was very flat.  I thought the writing would be thought-provoking and insightful as well as poetic, but it was none of that. That's why I couldn't connect with the character, despite many parts of it being familiar.
